another normal day
Yesterday, the boys and I went to Mass. They are so well behaved and do take part. My 12 year old, who I never think is listening, turned to me at one point during the Homily and asked what the priest meant with his last example. It just reminds me that I have a lot further to go than they do.
We didn’t drive because our cars were saving spots in front of our home for the fireworks last night. My town always has their fireworks after the 4th and in a field at the end of my street. Perfect seats every year. This year we kept it simple and just had grandparents and a couple other relatives over. It’s really nice the boys can spend so much time with their grandparents. They all know each other very well. My youngest has actually told me that my mom is his favorite person. Then he looked at me and said..it’s ok, you’re second, Mom.
Nothing big today. Just life. Plain and Simple. Enjoy yours.
